Well not really getting any great answers except don’t plan on getting an appointment for a very long time.
It would be helpful if mentors make suggestions as to how to take the best approach to getting an appointment. Maybe help with some steps that most need to follow. I called Friday 5 times and couldn’t get a human to get answers to some simple questions.
Maybe I need to go back to Boston for a consult. It’s rather easier at Mass General, Beth Israel and Brigham and Women’s to at least get some questions answered.
I understand it’s listed as the best in the country but it would be comforting to have a department you can call for something. Extremely disappointing

Sorry you did not have luck contacting someone at Mayo last week. To request an appointment, you can self-refer using the online form or call Mayo Clinic at the location of your preference. Not sure the number you called, but sometimes all the appointment coordinators are busy. Another option is for you current provider to do a referral to Mayo.

See all information here: http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63

If do a self-referral online by filling out form, an appointment coordinator will contact you and discuss your request and may ask for medical records to be sent. Your request is then reviewed and prioritized on the basis of medical need. Availability depends on the nature and the urgency of the problem, Mayo Clinic's ability to help (as determined by a Mayo Clinic doctor) and availability of appointments. As you can see by previous comments , there are more request for appointments then Mayo is able to accommodate.

Have you tried requesting an appointment using the on-line form?
