Hello Sibley~
Thank you for your concerns and questions. I know these are very hard decisions to be making..especially when we doubt our own abilities to be making these life changing, perhaps permenent ones..without the benefit of years of study on these products and what they do to our bodies..in the long run.
I chose to not do pharmaceuticals for my osteoporosis and feel comfortable with that decision. I do the Codeage 5 types of collagen everyday and have been for a few yeats now. Since it comes from many different sources..not like Vital Proteins..which only sources from bovine. I googled VP just now and see that it has a few other problems..that being some contamination with harmful ingredients..such as lead and cadmium....so I would research this product more to satisfy yourself that it is safe for you to use. I wish you the very best with whatever you decide to do for your own particular bone concerns. Peace of mind is of utmost importance to me....I'm sure it is a main concern for you as well. Now that I'm 80...I choose to listen more to my body and try to keep her as strong as I possibly can with neutrients and suppliments along with as good a diet and healthy life style, as I can manage... peace of mind is essential...you do what you feel is the best way to go for yourself....gain the knowledge you need to do this for yourself. You deserve nothing less. Many blessings to you and your quest.

I also researched Vital Proteins. They are NSF tested which is good I think. National Sanitation Foundation.
