It is well documented that radiation for breast cancer can cause heart and lung problems. There are current studies out by well respected universities and governments that now suggest for those over 65 with stage 1 and Nottingham grade 1or 2 with clear margins after surgery to bypass radiology and go to adjunct therapy. I have brought this up my surgeon and was fobbed off. My body. My choice.

You made a tough decision and I have a friend who was allowed to have a double Mastectomy instead of radiation. I had radiation for a stage one breast cancer with clear margins thirty years ago and have had problems ever since. I now have three fatal conditions. I am now fighting to get doctors to diagnose and treat me so that I have some understanding and predictability in my life.

It is well known by the medicalpeople, but most people do not know anything. If they are told something, they do not understand the physics of radiation and/or the do not know enything about the biology of cell division and cell structures. People know nothing or very little and my doctors will hide or ignore or minimize the danger and increase the benefit. I know I have found it almost impossible to learn and to get treatment of any kind.
