It’s probably worth mentioning that in the last 9 months I’ve been doagnosed with high blood pressure which is under control with meds and in the last 4 months, type 2 diabetes that forced me to make good health changes and bowel function improved almost immediately with lower blood sugar. Digestively I feel the best I have in years and am worried about messing this up. Excuse the pun, but I would definitely trust your gut on getting a second opinion. I struggle with this too...the second opinion part. But I do think we have a lot more "body wisdom" than we realize....if we are listening. I recently said no to a procedure that would have used iodine (first time I've ever done that!) because of Hashimoto thyroid disease and my doc was great about honoring that and finding an alternative for me.
