During a recent regular checkin with my onc, she mentioned a new(ish) type of HRT and it occurred to me this may be of interest to you as well. Duavee contains both estrogen and a SERM, with the SERM eliminating the need for progesterone to protect the uterus. Like raloxifene, the SERM (bazedoxifene) has a positive effect on bone. There is a current study (PROMISE) investigating if Duavee can reduce the risk of developing invasive breast cancer after DCIS. I still have some homework to do regarding Duavee, but thought I would put it on your radar as well.
