Hi Phil, I'd never heard of 'Green Light Therapy' before. So consulted Mayo on line to find this: https://newsnetwork.mayoclinic.org/discussion/green-light-laser-surgery-treats-bph/
Wow! to say the least. I had BPH in 2011 with a huge prostate and its blockage of urine. Now I wonder if I'd had the Green Light if just maybe it would have removed what was probably the very early, and undetectable, beginnings of PC.
Maybe for those with BPH, this is a word of caution and suggestion for those seeking options .

Well, grandpun, you are spot on. Because the lasered tissue can’t be biopsied (it’s vaporized) you don’t know if it is benign or malignant tissue.
My cystoscope showed a very well defined polypoid growth; my urologist at the time told me that prostate cancer never looks like that - it’s usually in the walls or very irregularly shaped - not a finger waving in the breeze.
But 6 yrs later my new urologist - using very sharp 20/20 hindsight - said that it probably WAS PCa at that time. Who knows?
But I have no regrets since 12 yrs ago the only real choices for PCa was either radiation or surgery - both of which could have destroyed my sex life even sooner…what can you do, right?
Phil
