I too have stage 4, Gleason 9. Metastasized to hip, left leg bone spine and spots on rib bones. I have had your meds and chemo. I just finished my 6th treatment of Pluvicto. I'm taking daily Abiraterone and prednisone. Quarterly eligard, monthly zometa infusion for bones a daily pill for hot flashes and numerous supplements and vitamins. I found out in December 2020 and stated the treatments and fighting this cancer in 2021. I started out with my PSA at 1,834 and about 10 days ago it was down to 7.9
I will continue the fighting and treatments to be with my family
Best wishes to all of us "fighters" and survivors.
My husband is stage 4. Gleason 6. Metastasized to virtually every bond and 2 lymph nodes. PSA 1696 down to 33 currently. Taking Abiraterone and prednisone since Nov 2024. Pretty severe pains that move all over the body. Lack of concentration and motivation, crying spells. What can help with all these side effects?

This sounds like a case where chemo and or Pluvicto Could reduce the pain he’s feeling.
I’ve seen cases where a PSMA pet scan lit up like a Christmas tree and one session of Pluvicto eliminated almost all Metastasis. It doesn’t work that well for everyone, but your husband might benefit greatly from doing it.
Has he already been through chemo? That can also great reduce the pain you’re referring to because it can reduce or eliminate many metastasis.
His PSA is also very high still. Usually abiraterone will usually reduce the PSA to below 1 pretty quickly, And also take the testosterone down below five. It doesn’t appear to be working well unless he’s only been on it for a few weeks.

He's been on the abiraterone since November. It's coming down. This is the doctor recommended treatment. No chemo has been suggested yet. It's been 6 mos and they aren't recommending anything else. What's Pluvicto? Have you heard anything about Ivermectin or mebendanzole?
Editor's Note: Fenbendazole is an antiparasitic drug used in veterinary medicine to treat animal gastrointestinal parasites. There are many stories circulating on social media about using it to treat cancer because preliminary research is investigating the use of fenbendazole in cancer. See this sober and helpful comment in the pancreatic cancer group https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/1186515/
The use of fenbendazole for cancer (or the human equivalent biosimilar drug mebendazole) is still experimental, and more studies are needed to determine its success and safety in humans.
Researchers are studying Ivermectin to see if it may be used as an anti-cancer drug and early studies show promise. Please note that this research is in the early stages (mice studies) and has not yet been tested in human trials. Ivermectin is not a proven standard treatment for prostate cancer.
You need to find a new doctor. You should go to a center of excellence like Mayo so that you can get treated by someone that will address the issues that are occurring. If someone is in pain from cancer and has a lot of metastasis than they probably should’ve been put on chemo in the beginning. Are you working with the urologist right now? You are way past treatment by urologist, you need a genito urinary oncologist working on your case.
Pluvicto is a treatment that uses a type of radiation to go after the cancer everywhere in the body. As I mentioned, in some cases, it can be extremely effective. They’re even a lot of commercials for Pluvicto on TV. While it doesn’t work for everybody, it is effective for most people. If that doesn’t work, then you really should be talking to a doctor that is familiar with chemo. Your husband is what they call a normal case for triple therapy, which is ADT plus abiraterone plus chemo.
I know ivermectin is for parasites and needs a lot more studies to use it for PCa. Pluvicto is the latest, created in 2022 for cancer treatments. The LUTAMIDES are often used to for various patients. Been on this forum for 18 months. Haven’t seen anyone think that Ivermectin is a universal cure. Who have you been listening to? By the way, the Canadian patients- with PCa are a great group of people to learn from. Need I say more.

I’ve got to agree with @ecurb about Ivermectin or Fenbendazole, both being for parasites and not cancer, yet. There have been no completed clinical trials with ivermectin to prove that it is successful in treating prostate cancer. Fenbendazole Is not being considered for trial, I suspect that’s until the ivermectin trial completes.

Better listen to Jeffmarc. Ivermectin is a fools paradise. BEWARE!
What do you mean about a fools paradise. Please educate me on this with what you know.
