Anyone had a knee replacement while on ADT?

The problem with any replacement is that the germs go to the weakest part of the body, and a replacement is the weakest. I just had a dentist cleaning on Thursday and had to take 4 amoxicillin 1 hour prior to my appointment. I have to do that for the next 2 years.

When I had my knee replaced six years ago, they also had me take antibiotics every time I went to the dentist.

After I had my hip replaced in September 2023, 4 years later, my orthopedist said that I didn’t need to take antibiotics. They actually didn’t find them useful anymore. Had my knee done in March 24, and same thing with antibiotics.
