Enhertu for Stage 4 Breast Cancer

Posted by kblioce @kblioce, Nov 16, 2024

Hello, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 triple positive breast cancer mets bones 10 years ago. After 6 months, I had no evidence of disease and have taken Herceptin and Perjeta every 3 weeks for the last 10 years and had no progression. My tumor marker started slowly going up for at least a year but that can happen for many reason. Unfortunately, my tumor marker quickly elevated so I had a PET/CT scan this week and the cancer is back in my bones. My oncologist is going to take me iff Herceptin and Perjeta and start me on Enhertu and no other treatment because he says it is shown to work well. Does anyone have experience with Enhertu? I’m concerned that I might need Taxotere or some other more lethal drug. Any thoughts or experiences? Thank you.

Yes, I was first diagnosed with bone mets. My doctor was shocked because my primary breast tumor was small but I did have cancer in two of my three sentinel nodes. The cancer has returned near where the cancer was originally in my bones but in different actual bones. For instance, I had two spots on my spine (all T vertebrae). This time, I have a spot on my spine in a C vertebrae. I had a spot on my iliac bone previously and have it on my iliac bone this time but in a different place. I didn’t have it on my sternum the first time but I do this time. The good news is it still has not gone to soft tissue.

Hi
I'm on Enhertu for endometrial cancer-stage 3C1. So far I've received two cycles. Compared to carboplatin/paclitaxil, my symptoms are mild--queazy stomach, constipation, and recently, my hair is falling out.
After week 1, the symptoms subside, except for the hair loss, I imagine.
So far, blood and chemistry panels are all within normal range.
I'll have CT scan in the 3rd cycle to see how the drug has affected the tumors.
Hope this helps

I’m doing ok. I have hair loss, constipation and anemia. All that is worth it because after 4 cycles, most of my “spots” are completely gone and those that are remaining have improved.

Hi. I have been on enhertu every 4 weeks, for almost two years.
I was originally diagnosed 6 years ago with Stage 4. I have been doing great on it, with minimal side effects. It gives you a resemblance of a normal life.
Many positive vibes! You are a warrior. ♥️
