Depression hopelessness family division

I’m 74, and never in my life have I seen such division over politics. People disagreed, of course, but I never heard of family division over it. I have actually seen and heard so-called experts on news programs encourage physical division during holidays, etc. It’s heartbreaking that anyone would think that’s a good idea.

I agree with your post. What this all reminds me of people who insist they are right and in the end lose everything important and life affirming for them. What do we do? I am lonely. I have exchanged phone numbers with a woman in my small rural town. I misx a female friend near my age to just talk with and be my authentic self. I am married so I would never be unfaithful.
