“We were good, we were gold
Kinda dream that can't be sold
We were right 'til we weren't
Built a home and watched it burn”
- Miley Cyrus

When I hear this song I’m not thinking about a love relationship but of the rollercoaster of life when some times/things seem so right then go so wrong. “Built a home” as a metaphor for built a career job, a friendship, a family relationship, a favorite place. Some times things go so great and then I can just watch it crumble before my eyes.
Probably living 70 years has given me the opportunity to experience many ups and downs.
Watching it burn down . . . have you felt that?
It’s intense.

Yep. I'm pushing 68 and can attest to the twists and turns. Some of them induced g-forces too high for safe consumption. Some were pleasant.
Thanks for your interesting interpretation of Miley's song.
