I recently had a bilateral Salpingo oopherectomy to remove complex cysts. Grateful I did it but feel the ultrasound monitoring went on far too long. 69 years old. My gyne did a pelvic wash AFTER the procedure...I understood it should be done before? It was atypical. Tumours on both ovaries are borderline serous T13c....waiting for my oncology appt and treatment plan. Tubes were ok. What a roller coaster. Stage 1 and still 6 Rounds of chemo seems alot but the norm I read. Did they do that targeted kind that they inject into the peritoneal area? I suspect hysterectomy is next for me and more.😟 The wait is really hard. Been 2 wks since the referral, 3 since surgery. Feeling good from that. Glad to find this site. Good luck ladies on your journeys, I'll stay tuned in. Grateful to have a top notch new cancer center 10 minutes down the road and sites like this for support.
Grade 1 is the best scenario with such a diagnosis. I wish you strength and peace as you go forward with your treatment. Trust your Healthcare team!
