Hey aec07130. I shouldn't have ssaid that. It's just going to put an extra issue that's just going to cause unnecessary worry. As long as you're taking your meds as prescribed, you shouldn't worry. I'm not too sure about taking an extra one at night. Follow your doctors orders. Opioids are dangerous and all protocol should be used while taking them. You and I both know that. Taking an extra for any medication should be avoided unless authorized by your doctor. I would tell him/ her that you are having difficulty sleeping without extra meds. If you take a drug test every visit( like I have to) it may show up. I also have pill counts that are randomly requested by my pain physician. Don't be a statistic and prove the people right. That, in the long run,hurts all of us under pain management. I understand your issue. Just be careful.
