My son swears by CBD but the creams can be insanely expensive, and I didn't think it helped me all that much. I just remembered - my mother in law is bone-on-bone in her knee and found that a heavy duty brace that her doctor fitted her for helped her significantly. Hope you find something that helps you until you can get your surgery.

I have wondered about CBD, but not quite ready to go there. Worried about interactions with other meds I'm on. But worth exploring. My knee is bone-on-bone, and not smooth bones - I have bone spurs (one that is shaped like an actual hook!). I tried a brace (not as heavy duty as what you described), but it held my leg straight out and I couldn't sit or get up from chairs with just one leg.
