There has been so much reported on the physical/mental benefits of exercise while on ADT, that it’s hard to miss. Here are a few:

Here’s a study about the benefits of exercise to counteract the adverse effects of ADT: (Resistance Exercise Training Increases Muscle Mass and Strength in Prostate in Cancer Patients on Androgen Deprivation Therapy) —> https://journals.lww.com/acsm-msse/fulltext/2023/04000/resistance_exercise_training_increases_muscle_mass.2.aspx

If you do what it takes, you’ll do very well with the hormone therapy - it’ll just be an annoyance; if you don’t do anything, the hormone therapy can be your worst nightmare.

Good resources and well said. My hope with this post is to encourage those that aren't exercising to consider it. We can do ADT or ADT can do us. And yes, there are probably exceptions on both sides. I choose to keep going. Spoke with a friend today whose sister found the dreaded lump and had both removed and kept on living her best life. Went to the park to ride yesterday and ended up riding with a Vet friend that has a spine injury and rides a 3-wheel electric assist bicycle on the trails. Another this morning that has a heart implant device and we made arraignments to get out and ride. We don't need to look far to find inspiration from those with other maladies.
