I am now at the 7 month point since total right knee replacement. My ortho surgeon is very pleased with my recovery to date (too slow for me). I have zero pain when standing, sitting, or lying down. But whenever I get up from sitting in a chair for ore than a few minutes, my right knee is very stiff with a lot of soreness/discomfort on the right side of my knee. Walking, doing PT exercises, pedaling on recumbent bike, heating pad, Aleve, whatever ... nothing seems to help with that right side soreness! However, every month I do notice some improvement ... but very slowly.

I’m 10 weeks out. Some days it feels great. Then for no reason, like today, it aches and hurts. Today the pain is at the top, right corner. One very sore spot. So I think every day is a new day for months. My pain is always on the right. My bend is good at 130. But some days doing the simple lifts etc makes it hurt and other days it feels great. Like yesterday I walked a mile pain free…. My dr says give it 6 months.
