My situation is that now I have to take Amoxicillin twice a year prior to a dental visit, even for a cleaning. My issue is that it's another one of the many, many things in a long list of information that I wasn't given prior to my TKR.
I understand the value of the surgeons time to have a lenghty discussion but a printed handout for TKR patients would be appreciated.

I have a lot of metal/implants in me and I take antibiotics before dental appointments. I have for many years. If it was refused to me, I would be very upset.
I was a RN who took care of patients with infected joints and it’s not a pretty thing to go through.
