Could you share more? What symptoms did it help with? How long did the improvement last? Did you insurance cover the procedure (I have this uneasy feeling that insurance may declare it to be outside of standard of care and the procedure sounds pretty expensive).

hi paullab,
I had the block 15 or more years ago. It cost me $1,000. I didn't ask insurance to pay, though it would have. I wanted it to determine if it was safe for my best friend (mom).
Insurance will pay for "medically necessary" nerve blocks.
It is usually a series of injection 4-10, if the first block works for you. The effect can last four months, but commonly would be rescheduled within weeks of the first.
I'm sorry not to be more help. But I think it is so worthwhile that I hope you pursue it with a physician specialist. They will know how to bill to secure payment.
The treatment became common for PTSD and subsequently Long Covid.
