Yes, my ileocecal valve was removed during my surgery one year ago. I am now trying a specific probiotic. I was told I should notice a difference within 5 days ( this is day 2). My situation could be so much worse. I’m trying to look at this as my new normal.

Hey! Did your probiotic supplement work? My partner has been having severe and debilitating pain since his resection following a right hemicolectomy a year prior (ileostomy placed) due to colon cancer.
Everything on paper is perfectly fine for him, but he’s very clearly not ok and we don’t know what to do next. He was fine with the ileostomy, but hated the bag. However, we had no idea it would be like this after the resection…
He had his IC valve taken out, but has not received targeted treatment for SIBO. His next appointment is in months too so we’re trying to be proactive in finding a solution.
