Pain on outside of right knee TKR

Has anyone experienced pain on the outside of knee after TKR?
As I have increased my recumbent and stationary bike I am experiencing more pain on the outside of my knee ( I had TKR on my right knee).

Yes I had it outside my knee. my therapist thought it was nerve and muscle pain he had me use a rolling pin starting out above my knee rolling it down below my knee can’t remember how may minutes I did it it was extremely painful in the beginning but over time the pain disappeared

Hello, I had my TKR nine weeks ago and I am still experiencing pain on the outside of the knee. From what I hear from many people who have gone through it, it is quite normal and only time will make things better.
Best of luck to you.

I am 5 months out and it seems to get worse as I increase daily exercises.

I am now at the 7 month point since total right knee replacement. My ortho surgeon is very pleased with my recovery to date (too slow for me). I have zero pain when standing, sitting, or lying down. But whenever I get up from sitting in a chair for ore than a few minutes, my right knee is very stiff with a lot of soreness/discomfort on the right side of my knee. Walking, doing PT exercises, pedaling on recumbent bike, heating pad, Aleve, whatever ... nothing seems to help with that right side soreness! However, every month I do notice some improvement ... but very slowly.

I’m 10 weeks out. Some days it feels great. Then for no reason, like today, it aches and hurts. Today the pain is at the top, right corner. One very sore spot. So I think every day is a new day for months. My pain is always on the right. My bend is good at 130. But some days doing the simple lifts etc makes it hurt and other days it feels great. Like yesterday I walked a mile pain free…. My dr says give it 6 months.

My ortho surgeon said to give myself a full year to fully recover and possibly even a full 18 months ... that may be due to my weight (close to 300 lbs.) ... so I'm hoping that the pain on the right side of my knee will continue to ease over the coming months

This whole recovery is down right brutal. Nothing like I expected. Some days are better than others. I may have good few days in a row, then "bam" can barely walk. 🙄

How long using the rolling pin did you get any relief?
