I hear you, Linda, and your strategy makes good sense. When I have to wash a pot I run the water only slightly and bring the head of faucet as close to pot as possible.

Just acclimating to those short showers. Hair washing, particularly in winter is a conundrum. SO COLD to turn shower on and off, while I put hair conditioner on.. I have long hair and may cut it to make the process quicker. Also get leave- in conditioner so I don’t have to wait a couple of minutes before rinsing conditioner off. All the little details!

I bought a shower head that opens up between use. The shower head has bigger holes to minimize mist. It is very well made and I’ve been using it for at least 6 years. I also run the shower (hot) and then air out the bathroom before having a shower; we installed a heavy duty fan in the bathroom. I miss the long steamy showers I used to have but I feel a bit safer knowing that I’ve tried to clear the pipes a bit and there is no water sitting in my shower head. We live in a condo so I can’t adjust the temperature in the hot water tank.
