This is common and takes time for prostate, bladder, colon to calm down.

During your consultation did they not go over side effects or urgency and frequent urination? If no asked your urologist or R/O to go over them.

You can also research online at Mayo, Cleveland Clinic, John Hopkins, Web MD, etc. for side effects of your treatments and time frames.

I had proton radiation on entire prostate that I was told because of need to radiate margins also would affect my colon, bladder, etc. I had urgent urination and frequency for months afterward. About a year after treatments, it really started getting better and now (almost 2 years later) other than trying to urinate when I feel the urge rather than wait is back to normal.
