Pain pump, I have one, how about one for you?

Next year I will be receiving my third morphine pump. I can sing the praises of the pump; without it I would not be able to get out of bed. My pain involves all vertebrae in my spine; neck, thorax and lumbar spine. When I started with the pump, I used an extremely low dose of morphine, it had to be specially ordered. In 13 years I have had only 3 adjustments in the amount of medication I receive. At first you need patience as your body adjusts from pills to the pump. However, although you feel better your condition continues to do damage to your spine. I felt great relief from the pump, but have symptoms break through now and then (example, falling from
nerves being inflamed). Most times if I go out, I use a cane or for long distances a wheelchair. I try not to panic and be swept up in the vortex of projection and anxiety. I hope you find the relief I have been granted and you get some relief.

Your third pain pump? Why so many? I've had my Medtronics pump for two years with no pain relief. I've three pumps? had the output increased more times than I can remember. I am now in the process of having it reduced so I can have it removed. What led you to having more than one pump?
Thanks
