The Pain Clinic recommended that my G.P. put me on Duloxetine (Cymbalta) and after titrating down from Amitriptyline and Dihydrocodeine, he gradually titrated me up to 60 mg Duloxatine in the morning and, another 60 mg Duloxetine in the evening. I also now have a weekly Bupronorphine patch, that delivers 10micrograms every hour. Together, the two meds just take the edge off the pain to a point that I can deal with it. The first month was up and down and the Duloxatine played havoc with my stomach but, I stuck with it and, gradually things began settling down. Now I have no meds side effects……😊

I'm glad Duloxetine is working for you. I started it a little over a month ago. I don't think it's helping with my back pain, but it sure helps my anxiety. I have felt nausea since starting it. How long did it take for your stomach issues to go away?

Thanks Dolly 🙂
I haven’t heard of the patch. I’m going to ask my doc about it. You’re dealing with nerve pain and discomfort from neuropathy, right?

My experience was just negative reactions - Cymbalta caused no energy, then depression, more pain, more in R shoulder (torn rotary) although summer is usually better. My vision started to get worse and also pain in R eye, slight hand shaking which got worse. I got headaches starting day 3. Teeth started to bleed when I brushed. Problems with bladder especially at night.
