Hello @panorman3 and welcome to the NETs support group on Mayo Connect. You say in your post that your carcinoid tumor is inoperable.

Please explain a little bit more about where the carcinoid is located. For example, is it in the digestive tract or lungs? How are you feeling?

it is located in the centrest hvering above and in between the intestines. Does the shot in the butt keep the tumor from growing.

Hello @panorman3,

You are asking good questions. Some members of this group have had a reduction in the sizes of tumors and some have not. If you would like more information, please read the posts in the following discussion group,

What does your doctor say about this type of treatment?

I'm not familiar with the term, "centriest" @panorman3. Perhaps the term is "mesentery"? The mesentery is in the location you described earlier. If so, here is a discussion about NETs in the mesentery.

I does sound like you have NETs of the mesentery which is the tissue around your intestines. I've got the same condition. Lanreotide is injected in the bottom and it is said to control Nets growth for many people. I've been getting those shots for about 2 years myself.
