I had my first Reclast infusion circa 2011 and my most recent infusion in July, 2024, without any complications. I believe I’ve had perhaps as many as seven infusions 2011-24, but no one can seem to scare up all of the records…there may be more.

In the span of 2022-24, I also did the Tymlos/Evenity routine. Nine months of Tymlos was like poison to me, but Evenity was smooth sailing.

My current rheumatologist recommended Prolia as the next weapon of choice, but after actually listening to my opinions, agreed to one or two additional Reclast doses. The biggest rap is that good old “spontaneous femur fracture” which doesn’t scare me as much as Prolia.

As an aside, I did at one time have five annual infusions followed by a few years of a drug holiday.
