Just got my PSMA scan
Just got back from my PSMA scan. The procedure wasn't as bad as a normal MRI. I don't know anything yet because my urologist has to view it, etc. I'm Radioactive but have not gotten my Superhero powers. I get the results next week at my treatment meeting with the Urologist and Gort, which is what I call the Dr. who's going to do my robotic surgery.

The radiation inspired superpowers don't usually manifest until the 5th or 6th CT/MRI/X-Ray/etc. Be patient. 😉
🙂 LOL... I won't go buy Spandex till then 🙂 thanks for the laff.
Actually on my way into the treatment room for my first SBRT my RO, who I have a great rapport with took me aside and softly said.....let me know if this turns you into the Hulk.....
Stay Strong Brother.
Did mine Feb 5th Got disc on site with images I cannot read Report took 4 weeks
Good news is C in bones only T 11 L4 hips I now qualify for LU 177 as radiation injection went to C cells in PSMA
Also approved as I had done Abiraterone and at least some chemo to qualify, I did Xtandi before but it does nor qualify Only Abiraterone + prednisone is what I read Still on Abiraterone until injections start in April PSA 208 I feel great Tired but OK at 80 Had prostate radiated out in 2018 Attempted robotic in 2017 stopped as it would have made me incontinent as C was close to apex of bladder
I like the "Gort" name for the robot. They wheeled me in for mine, of course I'm all drugged up at this point, I completely fixated on that thing, it was next to the table already (don't even know if it can move).
I apparently said something to the effect of " You can't even put like a smiley face on that thing" or so I was told later....gave the team a chuckle.
Just as PSA tests result in a number, and MRIs result in a number (PIRADS), and biopsies result in a number (Gleason), your PSMA PET scan will result in a number (SUVmax).
Before your scan results come in, consider being familiar with SUVmax scores and what they mean. That will help with the discussions you’ll have with your urologist. The scan results may (or may not) change your treatment plans. Good luck,
Thanks for being here on forum, it is so nice and encouraging to hear from "veterans" in this fight. Wishing you complete control and resolution of C in new spot.
