Can long covid cause this blurry vision?

My eyes were so dry that the corneal surface wore off and I had to heal them with drops spun from my own blood. They healed but then
I spent a whole summer where I continuously teared and my skin got chapped and sore and people thought I was crying. It was torture. I did qualify for blepharitis surgery paid by insurance because it was so serious.
After that the surgeon supplied me with multiple samples of drops to try. I tried 3 new ones just FDA approved and liked Miebo and Xiidra. There was also a new nasal spray for extreme dry eye. Xiidra ended up the best and is a bit cheaper.
Perhaps your optimologist could provide samples to try (although the go fast when the rep provides them) Keep calling and asking!
When your eyes ache everything goes haywire. I am now finally experiencing normalcy but realize I will probably be on Xiidra my entire life.
Wishing you luck! 🍀

i am familiar w/using your blood for the eye issues as my optometrist suggested that; it sounds like you have/had something different in terms of how dry your eyes are...mine now gush and water and i've tried all eye drops; think a few mo. ago i had temporary eye plugs put in but with the post covid brain fog, i can't remember if they helped or not. i see the optometrist next week. many many yrs. ago i had bleph surgery which i believe was the main reason why i have dry eyes as eyelids don't close completely while sleeping but i think the virus has definitely affected my eyes as well as so many other body parts. so happy you're getting relief finally.
