They have gotten much better at treating cancer, they put 3 tiny pin prick dots on me and I went every day 5 days a week for 15 minutes for the radiation. It's all laser guided so they only radiate the nodule..I didn't feel any pain or anything from that.. the chemo was low dose..if course you have the fear of your hair falling out, mine didn't until the 5th treatment and then it all didn't fall out, but it was shedding more than usual, when I combed my hair.it just got very thin, I think that is probably the worst part , at least for women.. but it grows back.. I had a friend from high school that had stage 4 colon cancer and his tumor was as big as a baseball... can you imagine? He survived that and currently has no evidence of cancer either.. but his treatment was much worse than mine.. so I just count my blessings..I am praying that you have nothing.. they actually found some new nodules in my other lung, after I finished treatment, and they lite up on the PET scan, but I just had them biopsy and they were infection... not cancer... so it could be nothing you have, which I am hoping for you

Hello, I’m glad you successfully completed your treatments.
I had surgery 3 years ago for melanoma. At that time there were small nodules which none of the doctors questioned, saying that anyone who was a smoker had them. I had PET scans frequently following surgery, now CT scans. There are several nodules the oncologist has been watching, 1 being 11 cm. She has decided I need a biopsy. What I’m petrified of is that I have severe COPD and was told that makes a biopsy much more serious and prone to possible serious complications. Has anyone had a biopsy who has COPD and what was your experience? I’m very scared about the procedure.
