I also had an ultrasound which found the plaque in carotid. Primary subscribed mininal doses of Lorsartan and Rosuvastat. He has referred me to a cardiologist. I have researched my concern and did find intervention procedures, which was scary..

Sounds like you are researching it and not hitting the panic button. That is the right approach I think. Now you can do the many things that are known to slow or stop the progression, like controlling BP and taking statins.
I hope things work out well for you. I ended up having no blockages greater than 50% and so no interventions needed.
