I just stopped in a health food store and asked for it. Our oncologist specified American ginseng as that is what the studies had shown to work.

My integrative oncologist said this was a trusted brand. This is what I have bought and am using. Schumacher's 100% Wisconsin Ginseng. It is the powdered root (not extract) in a capsule form. 500 mg in each capsule. The bottle has 100 capsules.
I am one year out from surgery and had chemo before surgery. I take 1 capsule in the morning. I don't think I took during chemo.
