So I was 68 when my first battle began with no following treatments after prostate removed. They got it all, except for a tiny bit that didn't come back until 11 years later. Had Lupron during 36 radiation treatments. My PSA was near undetectable for a short while. Maybe first six months but it started creeping up. Now at a 10.58 a couple of weeks ago. I've lost count but 4 or 5 PET scans have not found a cancer. Will wait another 3 months for another PSA count and quite likely another PET scan after collaboration between my radiation oncologist and my medical oncologist.
So, I keep a open mind, think positively, and do lots of research. I work as I want to at 81 keeping busy around the outdoors of the house. I plant some vegetables and flowers and keep up with my honeydos. Married a 6 year you're wife in August 2024 that is very energetic.
Except for the hidden demon, life is good but could change dramatically in 3 more months.

It’s always amazing to me how confounding these PSMA PET’s are. The say you need about .5 for anything to show in a salvage situation, yet here you are at more than twenty times that - and NOTHING!!
I think jeffmarc mentioned a different tracer you could use in these situations?
If that’s clear, then what are you supposed to do? Go on ADT just because…? Very frustrating for sure….
