Hi Andy,
I just found this discussion as my husband is having the same issue on PD dialysis. He only vomits at night during dialysis but is losing his appetite and losing weight. He also has very low energy and is getting depressed. He has a transplant that was rejected after 5 years. His original kidney failure was due to IGAn - I guess that's something he was born with. (He's 71 now) He takes Zofran which helps a little. I wonder if we should request a higher dosage of Zofran.
Same, here His nephrologist suggests changes in solutions but nothing has helped yet.
He was put off to get onto dialysis after his transplant failed until he was down to 6% kidney function. I had to be very vocal in order to finally get them to put the port in his chest. During that time he lost about 30lbs due to uremia. He's 5'9" and weighs 140lb.

@trying2bhappy What fluids is your husband on now, and what are they suggesting? It's not uncommon for dialysis patients to get depressed.

WOW! This sounds all too familiar !! My daughter has the same things going on. I’m just beside myself trying to think of how I can help. She also takes Zofran to some extent and helps some with the nausea. She vomits on a regular basis throughout the day. Her nephrologist has suggested changes in her solution dialysis medication she uses with no effect. She sometimes retains solution that won’t come out and not sure why. The weight loss is really troublesome!! She might weigh over 100lbs and is your husband’s height. She also just went through a Thyroidectomy with lymph nodules removed?
