You can get noise-cancelling earbuds. They're generally not considered as effective as a pair of plain old foam inserts. I just wear the standard foam plugs that I used for decades working in loud industrial environments. Again, I've never tried noise-cancelling earbuds. So, I'd do some research first.

@itchyd I cannot have anything inside my ears, like earbuds, ear plugs (even the soft, silicone type), etc.. They either pop out, or I end up with a headache. I am sensitive to touch, too. I can wear headphones but not for too long.
