I'm wondering if asking your Dentist about a mouth guard at night would help? Also, have you been to a peridontist or an oral surgeon?
Since this started after the fillings, I would go to another dentist for a 2nd opinion. I know this is so tiring, but, sometimes, another set of eyes and 2nd opinion makes a world of difference.
I have TMG and bruxism (teeth grinding) and I wear one. When I forget to wear it, I feel it. A popping jaw is a sign of TMJ.
It sounds like your jaw has "locked" on you to a degree.
Bless your heart as this sounds painful and frustrating and I am so sorry you are having to deal with this. Praying for you and for answers. Blessings...
