The surgery went well.
However, we were ask to be at the hospital at 10am and did not get called in until 2pm.for surgery,
I got up to my room around 9pm and I was discharged the next day by 3pm.
I believe the discharge was way too soon.I n fact, I asked to stay another day.
The reason I believe I was not ready was because I was having a difficult time with medication side effects. Example: I was very dizzy foggy and unsteady on my feet after my medication was given. Because of this I had a difficult time comprehending what the nurses, dietician ... were relating to my care.
When I left the hospital I had two complications that I needed to reach out to my Doctor for help.
Hopefully day 3 goes better.

I am glad surgery went OK, but it is a shame they dismissed you so soon. Many years ago when I had mine, they had me stay for few days because after a certain medication I vomited. By next day I was fine.

I have had the experience of delayed surgery start. One time I was admitted in morning and did not get into surgery till late afternoon. Surgeon apologized and explained the prior surgery had unexpected complications. But I was so anxious I was ready to get off gurney and go home.

Maybe you should ask your care team to schedule an appointment with nutritionist to go over information again. Even a phone call or virtual appointment. It is important that you understand the instructions.

When is your next follow up appointment?
