A friend of a friend has been talking to me about the benefits of Algaecal for quite some time. She claims that she had a significant improvement in DEXA scores after 18 months using the product.
As there seems to be some empirical evidence that it works, perhaps there is something to the story - but why, if it works so well, are docs not prescribing it, if not in place of the poison we put into our bodies, as a supplement to it. We should be buying stock in Algaecal . . . and so should our docs!
To those who enjoy reading long-winded studies about strontium or other supplements, if you can find a short-winded way of saying Algaecal (or other strontium products) works, sign me up! If this product does not improve t-scores, I seem to remember a $-back guarantee…maybe I should give it a go!
I really do appreciate everyone’s contributions to this board - thank you all.
Cheers!!
In some countries strontium ranelate is prescribed successfully for osteoporosis. There were questions about that formulation causing some negative cardio effects but nothing conclusive.
Strontium citrate is what we have here and is readily available otc.
