Why don’t anxiety meds work for me?

Some suffering people try another benzodiazepine to replace the one they had been on and the outcomes from what I have read can be helpful and sometimes not. I could not say any recommendation. I wish I could but I can't. There is a group called Benzo Buddies online 24/7. I connected and am a member there. Again I have to say that so.e of the posts are frightening but there is helpful information there. I think the suggestion I got from a member Faith to split my 1mg daily in .5mg 12 hours apart at the same time daily 10am and 10pm in my crisis maybe could be helping even out my anxiety and keeping me out of panic at least; other than that I don't know yet. It's only been a week and a half.
You could talk with the PNP and express your concerns and would need some reassurance that he will help you every step of the way if you go that route. I don't know what is right in these situations truthfully I don't know either. I don't know what to do in my own situation either and it scares me to death daily

I also joined benzo buddies. Yes, some of the posts are very frightening. I had to go to the dentist today as I canceled my last 3 appointments due to not being able to get dressed and leave the house. My heart had been pounding for about 15 hours by then and my face was flushed and my head was hot. I didn’t think I could stay in the dental chair. I told the dentist that I would pay additional if they gave me nitrous oxide but the cost had gone up to $300 so I changed my mind.

The Physician’s Assistant canceled my appointment for March 10 as he said reviewing my history of benzos use, he would not prescribe any more. So there goes my last hope of getting a long taper.
