@brightwings- Good for you. I did almost the same thing. My mom was an artist and after she died I had a ton of her sculptures and paintings around in the house. This was during the time when my PTSD was the worst and I was having such a difficult time getting past her abuse. I guess I was still looking for her approval. I boxed up most of her things and stored them away. I sent all of her "paper" art- watercolors and sketches to my son. I have to tell you something. I'm a better painter than she was! lol!
My PTSD started to calm down a lot.
Sometimes we all have to get rid of the old before we can replace them with the good!

Absolutely, cuz you can only have one thought in the front of your mind at a time BUT in the back round you can have so many things running around in the back of your mind, and I was so often not aware of them but they basically ruined my day....
I was just trying to remember, exactly what did I burn that day???
I remember the watching eyes and I also remembered a watercolor that had to do with someone's death. The other 18 or so are wiped from my memory banks....I think that is pretty cool.
So happy to realize that today...Bright Wings
