Risedronate Sodium 150mg
Hello, has anyone tried Risedronate Sodium 150mg once a month for Osteoporosis?
I've been on it a couple months. So far no side effects, but hoping this helps improve my bones.
Seems all meds went up this year?

Sorry for another question but I'm not clear on your post. Are you saying before 10 months on Evenity your T score was -2.4 and after Evenity it was -4.3? If so, id your Dr have any opinions on why it didn't help you? sThank you.
Unfortunately I don't have other options because I live in a remote area.
After Evenity my T score when down to 4.3 from 2.4.
Wow that's great. Did you go on a maintenance drug?
Hi,
I read you were going holistic for your osteoporosis. Can you tell me what you are doing? I prefer going this route.
Thank you
I've been taking Risedronate 150mg once a month for over a year with no side effects.
I’m hoping for some encouragement because I’m panicking. I started this med yesterday. Everything seemed fine. Neck muscles were a little tight last night but no big deal.
I woke up in the early hours of the morning with joint pain in my arms and hands which is not too bad. But my upper back is on fire. My chest is the worst spot. Where your ribs meet your sternum I’m in a lot of pain. It hurts to breathe. When I stand up it’s so much worse. I’ve been hit with a blinding headache too.
I sent my doctor a message but it is a weekend. I read all the materials yesterday but this morning when I googled these side effects it says they may not resolve?! The materials that came with the medication didn’t say that.
Has anyone else had this happen?

1 Reaction@kimw7 Are your symptoms from taking Risedronate 150mg. once a month?
@mmwagner46 Yes. I took my first ever dose 24 hours ago.
@kimw7 So very sorry. Did you follow the directions which say to not lie down for at least 1/2 hour after taking the pill?
@mmwagner46 yes I took it will a full glass of water, stayed upright for hours and didn’t eat for 90 minutes because I had to take my thyroid meds afterward.
