Anyone else get crohns/uc kinda young?

Currently I’m 22. I’ve had crohns/uc since I was 17. I’ve gone through humira, Entyvio, rinvoq, omvoh, high dosed prednisone, budesonide, mesathalamine, and I’m sure I’m forgetting something. I’ve just started skyrizi. It kinda feels like a big joke. I had a colonoscopy in October that showed I’ve started developing polyps but they were removed - I also found out my intestines were so inflamed they bled to the touch. Anyone else close to my age with uc/crohns? Do you think it sucks too?

I was diagnosed with uc at 20. I too have been on many meds and high doses of prednisone many many times. It’s not a fun disease. You’re also immunocompromised because if it. I’m very grateful that I’ve been in remission for over 6 years. Ive decided to stop taking meds and give my body a break. I get my colonoscopy every two years I also have other health issues and swallowing pills is not easy for me. Good luck to you. Do you have a good gi dr?

If the drug you are taking now doesn't work, ask about trying Stelara. I have been on it for 6 years with no side effects.

I've been in remission for several years and want to stop taking my Humira. How long has it been since you stopped taking the meds? How is it going? Thanks

I have been off of meds for uc for 5 years now. Getting my colonoscopies every two years. Doing very well. Thank God!
