Hi I have had hypothyroidism for about 10 years. I have never been told it was Hashimotos. My antibodies were negative. Recently I was hospitalized for aphid. Never had before. My drs said I had too much meds as was going into hyper thyroidism. How do they diagnose Hashimotos?

Hashis is diagnosed by a thyroid US and TgAb and TPO bloodwork. Additional bloodwork includes TSH, Free T3, Free T4 and Reverse T3.
