Great! Of you are in a position to grow your own veggies, kale, colored lettuces, carrots and cabbage as well as beans and sweet potatoes are exceptionally easy and rewarding. Depending on your climate, you can sometimes grow successive crops in a year.
We eat much better when we shop local farmers' nmarkets.

I reside in the "frozen tundra" (Wisconsin). About mid-year, the glaciers melt 🙂 and we can grow a few things. We do have good farmers markets but most of the year have to look for organic produce in the stores.

I did build a raised veggie garden, in between arthritis flares. I do have 2 compost bins going. Hopefully I can start "farming".
