I do not understand your post. God wants us to be responsible. He gave is the power of choice to care for ourselves. I pray too but have a plan .

Read the Bible! It states in the Bible, "Ask and it shall be given to you." What's not to understand? It's worked for me all of my life.

People pray in different ways with different results. For me prayer with an absolute belief that it will be answered has literally done seemingly miracles. This has been something relatively new to me. But it can also cause me to take action when I "know" what is asked for what will in fact come true. This is far easier said than done! In other words the rights actions can be activated by the fact that you definitely know the prayer will indeed be answered.
