Tens machine for numbness
I was diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy 5 years ago. I had slight numbness in my left foot. Now both feet are numb and my calves. I really don't have any pain, except slight burning in my foot. I take turmeric in for pain and it completely took away the pins and needles feeling. However, the numbness does drive me crazy. I have no other disease that has caused this. I have been reading about tens machines and how it eliminates the pain. I have used these before on back issues and they do work for me. However, has anyone had them help with their numbness?

Can you say how you take the tumeric and the dosage? I might try it.
I have the same issues, numbness in both feet and calves. I purchased the Tens Device and it did nothing. You feel all the shock going through your feet and legs but that’s it. PN is here to stay.
I would guess it would help if your back is causing your numbness. I was at an appointment With neurology for neuropathy Friday and they didn’t say the tens unit woul do anything for neuropathy but it depends on what is causing your neuropathy.
Yep
Since you ask about TENS, I suggest you look into SCENAR therapy, which is far more advanced than TENS. It’s worked wonders in improving my numbness, pain and discomfort of neuropathy. Lmk if you have questions. I’ve written about it in this group, like in my intro. I hope it becomes more widely used in the US because it’s so helpful with pain. It’s been around 50+ years, FDA approved and widely used in Europe and Asia.
I hate being fooled by nooro leg massager because I didn’t want their monthly subscription but they’re still billing my husbands account!
I tried to cancel but couldn’t by giving a run around!
Please don’t be fooled by this nooro organization!
The machine did nothing to my foot pain! It even made it serious!!
