I hope you feel better soon. I had major withdrawal from Paxil a few years ago. I should have never been put on that according to my gene testing. Take care and be safe.
Thanks for your comments. If you are bored I’ll tell you about my roller coaster
Thx
I have been on Effexor for 3 years and want off. I’ve heard horrible things about getting off it and the withdrawal sounds scary even with a slow taper. I’ve heard some people get help getting off it with Prozac which they use as a bridge to alleviate withdrawal and then Prozac is much easier to get off of. Any one try this?
Excited to have gene testing done. Our pharmacologist has recommended it, seems like they know all to test for any 20/20 vision after getting your test or results?
It can take up to six weeks for Zoloft to even get in your system. Have patience and I hope it works for you.
I have never taken the test to find out which antidepressant works best for me but after trying others I always found my way back to Zoloft.
You might want to pair it with Wellbutrin. It is very complementary with Zoloft. So much so they call it Welloft.
Good luck on your journey.
Thank you. With the 2nd med when it works you act your previous self?
I found it worked great. Give it a try. It is not a stand alone antidepressant but more of a a complimentary addition to your SSRI. Give it a try. I hope it helps.
So I was on Zoloft form many year stand it worked great for me so I am confident 100 mg of Zoloft should work again
Back in the mid 90's started on Prozac and had a serotonin episode....horrible frightening experience, up for three days, agitation etc. My no psych would like to start me on Zoloft at 12.5 mg but I am scared to death to take it. He says he never has had a patient with SSRI reaction and that at such a low dose it is likely to not occur. I do need something.....have been on Wellbutrin and did not reap benefit from it....... And the more I read the posts on weaning off and the horrible side effects the more scared I get. Have even thought OK I'll do the Zoloft but I'll take 1/2 of the 1/2 which should be about 6.25 mg. I'm afraid SSRI's haven't changed that much neither have SNRI's.... any suggestions. Besides, I did try Zoloft for a week at 12.5 mg and it made me sleepy.....don't like that! So if you take is at nite then it peaks at about 4-6 hours and your asleep so how is that going to help?
