Hi Edith , I have exactly what your describing for the last 14 months since surgery , have tried everything theirs is and still 3 different orthopaedic doctors can’t pinpoint what it is….

Did u ever get to the bottom of it and had the pain gone ?

I had a right hip replacement in Nov. 2022.
I will get an occasional shot of moderate pain. That being said, from my research the prosthesis will never be as good as the original and you will on occasion have some mild discomfort. If it’s more of acute continuous type, that would be an issue that needs addressed.

Not either of the people you addressed, but in my experience (after 2 total replacements and 3 revisions over 19 years) the usual issue is weakness in the quadriceps muscle. If other causes have been ruled out, it might be time for some targeted physical therapy.
Have you addressed this issue with a rehab therapuist?
