CalmPro5 for Peripheral Neuropathy Pain

Posted by covenantdga @covenantdga, Jan 28 10:13pm

Anyone had any experience with an organic non-prescription medication called CalmPro5 for treatment of peripheral neuropathy ? The reviews online are varied and several have called the claims scams. Am hesitant about taking any additional prescription meds like Gabapentin or Pregabalin since I already take oxycodone / acetaminophen for back pain due to a Laminectomy and Spinal Fusion from T-2 to S-1 2 1/2 years ago that did not take.

@covenantdga do you know the ingredients?

People who have Polyneuropathy are targets for unethical claims. Our pain makes us willing to do anything to get relief. Those companies know it and take advantage.

@covenantdga, This is just my two cents but after a small amount of research I do think Calm Pro 5 is more marketing hype than neuropathy cure. The first thing that raised red flags is how many different websites claim to be the "official CalmPro5 product website". I stopped counting at 5. From reading through the product information on several sites I didn't see any credible medical studies or backing.

Thank you for your response. I could not agree more with your comments. Constant pain and now extreme mobility issues have me looking for ANYTHING that would provide any kind of relief.

Appreciate your response. As I mentioned in my original posting, many of the comments / reviews I found online were that the product is just another scam.

Had hoped that I would have been able to see a specialist at Mayo in the Jacksonville Clinic but was told that they are not taking any new patients.

You mentioned you had a laminectomy and spinal fusion a few years ago and that's when the neuropathy pain symptoms started. @jenniferhunter started a discussion on Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR) that has helped people with pain from many different conditions. You might find it helpful to learn what others have shared about their experience.

What kind of specialist were you trying to see at Mayo Jacksonville?

Will check that out. With respect to your question about what kind of specialist I was trying to see at Mayo Clinic - Jacksonville, it was Dr. Michael Osborne in the Pain Management Center. He was recommended by one of his former and now retired colleagues who I know. Dr. Osborne’s clinic interests were Complex spinal disorders
Spinal neuromodulation
Regenerative medicine of the spine which seems to hit everything I was dealing with.

What was so surprising was that my contact had actually communicated with Dr. Osborne who said that he would take me on as a patient. I went through the onboarding process for admission which took almost 6 months, largely because I need to provide an updated MRI of my lower back / spine. It took much longer than expected because radiologist who did the MRI said that my first one did not take because the images weee not clear because I had so much hardware in my back. I had to to another one on a machine that had a different kind of magnification. That appointment was canceled because of issues wirh the machine. Finally on the third attempt I was able to get it done and sent the results to Mayo Clinic as instructed. My medical records had already been sent as soon as I started the admission process.
I got a form email that basically thanked me for considering Mayo Clinic but said that they were not taking patients at the time and gave me two doctor’s names in the state where I reside with practices that were over 5 hours from where I live. To say I was surprised and disappointed was an understatement, particularly after being told that Dr. Osborne would see me as a patient. I have just reconciled the fact that I will just have to live with my pain and declining mobility issues (I spend a significant portion of my day in bed or on the couch in a horizontal position), and prepare for a transition at some point from a cane / walker to some kind of motorized wheelchair.

Again, thanks for your response. The Mayo Connect forum has been an excellent support group. Feel that you finally get to talk to people who understand what you are dealing with and offer encouraging and supportive suggestions / advice. Wish the admission staff and medical staff was as accommodating.

@covenantdga My suggestion is to call the department where he works and ask to get a message to him communicating your understanding that he would see you. It’s possible that there was an error made by someone in intake. The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department can be reached at 904 953 0891 for Jacksonville. I found this on the Mayo webpage. You might also check your insurance coverage because that can be a reason for a refusal. I do hope it works out for you. Sometimes applying later may have different results.

Very helpful. Will call first thing on Monday.

FYI. Called the number you gave me but it was the GI Department. They were kind enough to get me to Dr. Osborne’s office and ultimately talked to an individual in his office who handles new patients. Said he would get this message to Dr. Osborne’s group and see if there is any opening.

Again, just appreciate your input and efforts. Had basically given up the proverbial ghost but will attempt to see if I can schedule an appointment one last time, otherwise I will look at it as a door that GOD has closed.

Have a blessed day !

Well, I must clear that this is a product which is selling by its affiliate and promoting online but let me tell you these are low grade and unknown brand product which lives on affiliate for sales, here I found the site called Scamlegit .com which tells all about these type of product.
