Thank you everyone for your responses. I am glad these new drugs work for people who participate in the clinical trail. Hopefully it will prolong many lives.
I wish we knew about this clinical trail earlier. Unfortunately my mom did not get a chance to start this clinical trail. While she waited for hemoglobin to get to 9.0 (it was 8.9 and they said she could not start a trail until it will be 9.0), she got very weak and said she had no strength left to continue the fight. She courageously fought for 17 months and lost her battle on February 23. She was only 71. She was healthy and active prior to being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September 2023. I have too many unanswered questions, including what could be done differently during the treatment. Our family is devastated and heartbroken.
