Thank you! I forgot... I got Clobetasol from my family doctor! And I agree... when I have a flare up I use the gel at night when I go to bed. Its a great help. So I feel like Ive found all the meds required to fight it. I just need to be more disciplined ...like Ive had to be with my celiac ( 25 yrs!) and stay away from acidic, salty foods. My concern that over the long term something might become cancerous. Who knows that when they see it? I just turned 80.

Yes....with long term sores you have to stay on top of them....do you have a derm or an ENT that knows how to ''read'' OLP sores? Another spice I have to stay away from is cinnamon....go figure, eh! Congrats on turning 80.

Rognal..I am also 80 and I asked my dentist if my mouth looked cancerous? She didn't know..but she did say that if cancer attacks the mouth, it has specific characteristics. Cancer usually starts in only one specific area, i.e., one side of the mouth or another, left cheek or right. Watch the sides of your tongue, under the tongue and inside of lips. I check for these weekly!
My mouth flared up horribly, but the tools I've chosen have really helped. I now have gotten, what I call scabs
on the red sores, showing me I am moving in the right direction. Bottom line be consistent. Salt and warm water is #1 for raw pain.
